UAE passport holders can enter Singapore without a visa for stays of up to 30 days. This visa-free arrangement is in place for 2026 and covers tourism, business meetings, and short family visits. You just need to meet a few straightforward entry requirements at the airport.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity from your date of entry into Singapore. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket out of Singapore before they stamp you in. A flight booking to a third country or back to the UAE works — just have the itinerary ready on your phone or printed.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Singapore ready. Officers rarely ask for it, but if they do, a simple booking printout or email suffices.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Carry at least SGD 1,000 (or equivalent in cash, traveler's cheques, or a recent bank statement) to show you can support yourself during your stay. Officers almost never check this for short visits, but it's a formal requirement.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Singapore immigration will deny entry if your passport has less than 6 months validity from your arrival date. No exceptions. Check your passport expiry now and renew if needed.
No arrival card needed
Unlike many countries, Singapore does not require UAE passport holders to fill out an arrival card or online declaration. Just show your passport at the counter.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before departure
Make sure your passport has 6+ months validity and at least 1 blank page. Book your return/onward ticket and first night accommodation. Save digital copies (screenshots, PDFs) on your phone for quick access.
2
Arrive at Changi Airport and proceed to immigration
At Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Foreign Passports'. Join the queue for non-residents. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
3
Present your documents to the immigration officer
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask about your purpose of visit, length of stay, and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They may also request to see your return ticket or hotel booking.
4
Receive your entry stamp and collect luggage
The officer will stamp your passport with a 30-day visit pass. Check the stamp says '30 days' before walking away. Then proceed to baggage claim.

Frequently asked questions

No, the visa-free entry for UAE passport holders is not extendable. You must leave Singapore before the 30 days are up. If you need to stay longer, you'll need to apply for a different visa type (like a Long-Term Visit Pass) before your current stay expires.
Overstaying is a serious offense in Singapore. You'll face fines, possible court action, and a ban from re-entering. If you realize you'll overstay, contact the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) immediately — they may grant a short extension in exceptional circumstances, but it's not guaranteed.
No, there is no arrival declaration required for UAE passport holders entering Singapore. You simply present your passport at immigration. However, you may be asked to complete a health declaration if you've recently visited certain countries — check the ICA website before travel.
Yes, the visa-free entry is valid for multiple visits within the 30-day period. Each time you re-enter, you get a fresh 30-day stay. But if you're doing this repeatedly (e.g., leaving and coming back the same day), immigration may question your intentions and could deny entry.
You will likely be denied boarding by the airline or refused entry at Singapore immigration. Renew your passport before traveling. There are no exceptions for this rule.
No, UAE passport holders do not need a visa for transit through Singapore, even if you stay airside (in the transit area) for up to 96 hours. If you want to leave the airport during a layover, the 30-day visa-free entry applies — just meet the same passport and ticket requirements.
No, the visa-free entry is strictly for tourism, business meetings, and short family visits. You cannot work, study, or engage in any paid activity. For work or study, you need the appropriate visa or pass (e.g., Employment Pass, Student Pass) applied for in advance.
