Visa on arrival
Get your visa at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport. Pay in cash (USD) — the fee is around $50 for a single-entry visa valid for 1 month. Have a printed hotel booking and return ticket ready; the officer may ask to see them before stamping.Check visa detailsRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date from Lebanon
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity left from the day you leave Lebanon. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa-on-arrival entry
Immigration at Beirut airport asks for a confirmed onward ticket. If you don't have one, they may deny the visa on arrival. Budget airlines flying into Lebanon also check this before departure.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a printed hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Lebanon. Immigration officers sometimes ask for it during the visa-on-arrival process. A booking.com confirmation works fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or card showing you can support yourself
Carry at least $200 in cash or have a credit/debit card with available balance. Immigration rarely checks, but if they do, they want to see you can cover your stay.Recommended
Cash only — no cards accepted
The visa-on-arrival counter only takes US dollars in cash. No credit cards, no Lebanese pounds. Bring crisp, undamaged bills. ATMs are available after immigration, but you'll need cash before that point.
Keep your arrival slip
When you pass immigration, you'll receive a small slip stapled into your passport. Don't lose it — you'll need to hand it back when you leave Lebanon. If you lose it, expect delays and possible fines at departure.

What happens at the border

1
Land at Beirut airport
After deplaning, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Passport Control'. Before the main immigration booths, you'll see a small counter labeled 'Visa on Arrival' — go there first.
2
Get your visa sticker
Hand over your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. Pay the fee in USD cash. The officer will issue a visa sticker and stamp it into your passport.
3
Proceed to immigration
Walk to the passport control booths with your passport now containing the visa sticker. The officer will stamp you in. Keep the arrival slip they give you — you'll need it when leaving.
