Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. Airlines check this before boarding. If your passport expires sooner, you won't be allowed to fly. No exceptions.

Arrive at Malé International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration'. The visa-on-arrival counter is clearly marked. Queue times vary — 10 to 45 minutes depending on flight arrivals.

Present your documents
Hand over your passport, return ticket (screenshot is fine), and accommodation confirmation. The officer will check your IMUGA QR code. They may ask a few questions — keep answers simple and honest.

Receive your visa stamp
The officer stamps your passport with a 30-day visa-on-arrival. No fee is charged. You're free to enter. Collect your bags and proceed to customs.
