Submit online visa application
Go to the Taiwan Visa Application Portal (visawebapp.boca.gov.tw) and fill out the form. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, accommodation info, and a digital photo. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 5–10 business days, but can be longer.

Wait for approval and print letter
Once approved, you'll receive a visa approval letter by email. Print a physical copy and save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show this at check-in and upon arrival in Taiwan.

Prepare documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, gather: your passport (6+ months validity), printed visa approval letter, return/onward ticket confirmation, first night accommodation booking, and travel insurance documents. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
After landing, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration. Join the queue for visa holders. Present your passport, visa approval letter, and return ticket. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
