Malaysia entry requirements for Belgium passport holders
Belgian passport holders can enter Malaysia without a visa for tourism or business visits. You can stay up to 90 days per entry. This visa-free arrangement is valid through 2026 and covers most short-term purposes.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Malaysia. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Malaysia | Immigration at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and other entry points routinely asks for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Immigration officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A hotel confirmation or a letter from a friend with their address is enough. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Sufficient cash or bank statement | You should have access to at least 500 USD (or equivalent in MYR) for your stay. A bank statement or credit card is fine — immigration rarely asks, but it's better to have it. | Recommended |
| Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) Online pre-registration before arrival | All foreign visitors must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online at least 3 days before arriving. Fill in your passport details, flight info, and accommodation — you'll get a QR code to show at immigration.Register MDAC | Required |
