Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Libya. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Libyan airports will ask to see a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot of your booking ready. Airlines also enforce this before boarding.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Carry a hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Libya. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-arranged itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Have evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — a bank statement or credit card showing at least $500 USD equivalent. Officers rarely ask, but it helps if questioned about your ability to support yourself.Recommended
eVisa processing can be unpredictable
Some applicants report delays or lack of communication. Apply well in advance and consider using a reputable visa service if you're on a tight schedule.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa, passport, and booking confirmations as PDFs on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose your paper copies, you'll still have access.
