What happens at the border

Arrive at Macau border
You'll enter via Macau International Airport (MFM), the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, or one of the ferry terminals (Macau Outer Harbour, Taipa). The immigration hall is clearly signposted.

Join the 'Visitors' queue
Look for the lane marked 'Visitors' or 'Non-Residents'. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will scan your passport, stamp it, and wave you through — usually takes 2–5 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, grab your bags from the carousel and walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no dutiable goods. You're now in Macau.
