Brunei passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. You apply entirely online before traveling, and approval usually takes a few business days. As of 2026, the eVisa allows a single entry for tourism or business.

Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory

Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Uganda, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa.

What happens at the border

Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Uganda eVisa website (visas.immigration.go.ug). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a passport-style photo and a copy of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing takes 2–5 business days.

Receive approval and print
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Uganda.

Arrive at Entebbe Airport
At Entebbe International Airport (the main entry point), follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the queue for 'Visitors with eVisa'. Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The process usually takes 10–20 minutes.
