Go to e-visa.td, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $100 USD) by credit card. Processing takes 3–7 business days, but allow 2 weeks.
2

No. All travelers must obtain an e-Visa before departure. There is no visa-on-arrival facility at N'Djamena Airport or any land border.
The standard e-Visa fee is approximately $100 USD, payable online by credit card. Some third-party processing sites may charge extra — use the official portal e-visa.td to avoid overpaying.
Processing usually takes 3–7 business days, but can take longer during peak periods or if documents need review. Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip.
Rejections are rare but can happen if your photo doesn't meet standards or your passport has less than 6 months validity. You'll receive an email explaining the reason. You can reapply after correcting the issue — the fee is non-refundable.
Yes. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for all travelers over 1 year old. You'll be asked to show it at immigration. Get the vaccine at least 10 days before travel.
Extensions are possible but not straightforward. You must visit the Direction Générale de la Documentation Nationale in N'Djamena before your visa expires. Bring your passport, visa, and a letter explaining why you need more time. Extensions are granted case by case and cost around $50–100 USD.
Security conditions can change rapidly. Check your government's travel advisory before booking. Avoid border regions and the Lake Chad area. Stick to N'Djamena and well-known tourist routes. Register with your embassy on arrival.
