Cash only for visa on arrival
The visa-on-arrival fee must be paid in cash (Armenian dram or USD). ATMs are available after immigration, but it's easier to have the exact amount ready before you arrive.
eVisa is cheaper and faster
If you apply online at evisa.mfa.am at least a week before travel, you can get a 21-day single-entry eVisa for just $6 USD — much cheaper than the $38 USD visa on arrival. The 120-day multiple-entry eVisa costs $40 USD.

Arrive at Zvartnots Airport (Yerevan) or land border
After landing, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' counters before passport control. Have your passport, return ticket, and fee ready. The officer will issue a visa sticker in your passport.

Pay the visa fee
Pay in Armenian dram or USD cash. Keep the receipt. For a 21-day visa, it's AMD 15,000 (~$38 USD); for 120 days, AMD 30,000 (~$76 USD).

Pass through immigration
Present your passport with the visa sticker, return ticket, and any requested documents. The officer may ask about your accommodation and funds. Answer clearly.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
