Panama entry requirements for Switzerland passport holders
Swiss passport holders can enter Panama without a visa for stays up to 90 days. This policy is in effect for 2026. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date and you have a return or onward ticket.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your Swiss passport needs to be valid only for the time you plan to stay in Panama. Airlines sometimes enforce a 6-month validity rule — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Panama | Immigration officers at Tocumen International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — they check this before stamping you in. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | You may be asked where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and phone number is enough. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Evidence of sufficient money for your stay | Officers can ask to see bank statements or cash. A credit card and a recent bank statement showing a few hundred dollars usually satisfies them. | Recommended |
