6-month passport validity is non-negotiable
Oman enforces the 6-month validity rule strictly. Even if you're only staying a week, your passport must be valid for 6 months from your arrival date. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport doesn't meet the rule, you won't be allowed to fly.
No visa fee, but have proof of onward travel
The visa-free entry is free, but immigration officers may ask to see a return or onward ticket. Have it ready on your phone or printed to avoid delays.

Arrive at Muscat International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and 'Immigration'. The visa-free entry queue is the same as for other nationalities — no separate line.

Present your passport at the immigration counter
Hand over your passport to the officer. They will scan it, check the validity, and stamp it with a 30-day entry permit. This usually takes 1–2 minutes.

Proceed to baggage claim and exit
Once stamped, collect your luggage and walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel unless you have goods to declare. No visa fee is collected.
