What happens at the border

1
Apply for a visa online
Go to the Pakistan visa portal (visa.nadra.gov.pk) and fill out the online application. Upload your passport photo, passport scan, and supporting documents. Pay the visa fee online. Processing usually takes 5–10 working days.
2
Receive your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with a visa grant letter. Print this letter and keep it with your passport. Some travellers also receive a sticker in their passport at the embassy, but the letter is sufficient for entry.
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Before heading to the airport, gather: your passport (valid 6+ months), printed visa approval letter, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Save digital copies on your phone as backup.
4
Arrive at a Pakistani airport
At immigration counters in Islamabad, Karachi, or Lahore, present your passport and visa letter. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp valid for the duration of your visa.
