What happens at the border

1
Prepare documents before travel
Check your passport validity (6+ months from entry). Book a return/onward ticket and first night accommodation. Print or screenshot confirmations. Get travel insurance and an eSIM if you want.
2
Arrive at Belarus border (air or land)
At Minsk National Airport or any land border crossing, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Present your passport and any requested documents. The officer may ask about your trip purpose and accommodation.
3
Receive entry stamp
If everything is in order, you'll get an entry stamp valid for up to 30 days. No visa sticker is issued. Keep the stamp legible — it's your proof of legal stay.
4
Register with migration authorities (if staying more than 5 days)
If you stay longer than 5 calendar days, your hotel or host must register you with the local migration office within 3 business days of arrival. If you're in a private apartment, you need to do this yourself at the nearest passport office.
