Even though you applied online, you'll pay the visa fee in cash at the airport when they issue the sticker. Bring euros or XOF — cards are rarely accepted.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-visa online
Go to the official Côte d'Ivoire e-visa portal (snedai.com). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF visa approval letter via email. Print a copy — you'll need to show it at the airport check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at Abidjan or any international airport
At the airport, go to the visa-on-arrival counter (even though you applied online, they issue the sticker there). Present your passport, printed approval letter, and return ticket. Pay the visa fee in cash (usually XOF or EUR). Get the visa sticker in your passport.
4
Proceed to immigration
After getting the sticker, join the immigration queue. Have your passport, boarding pass, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and how long you're staying.
