What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the border
Whether you fly into Skopje International Airport or cross by land from Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Kosovo, or Albania, you'll join the queue for non-EU/non-Schengen passports. For Cyprus passport holders, this is the standard line.
2
Present your passport
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your photo, validity, and stamp you in. They may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer clearly.
3
Show supporting documents if asked
If the officer asks for proof of onward travel or accommodation, show the saved screenshots on your phone. This is rare but happens. Stay calm and polite.
4
Receive entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the entry date. Check the stamp is legible before you walk away. That stamp is your proof of legal entry.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim (if you flew), then walk through customs. There's usually nothing to declare for personal items.
