What happens at the border

Prepare your documents
Before you leave, gather your passport (valid 6+ months), return ticket confirmation, first night accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Save digital copies on your phone.

Arrive at the border
At any Ukrainian airport (Kyiv Boryspil, Lviv, Odesa) or land border crossing, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready.

Present your passport
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your validity, stamp you in, and may ask about your trip purpose and length of stay. Answer clearly and briefly.

Receive entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the date of entry and the allowed stay period (usually 90 days). Check the stamp before leaving the counter.

Proceed to baggage claim
After immigration, collect your luggage and proceed through customs. Green channel if nothing to declare, red channel if you have goods over the duty-free limit.
