Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay

Visa on arrival
Obtain at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport
Czech passport holders can get a visa on arrival at Beirut airport. Pay the fee in cash (USD) — the exact amount varies by nationality and length of stay. Have your passport photo ready. The process takes 10–15 minutes at the bank counter before immigration.Check visa detailsRequired
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa on arrival
Immigration officers at Beirut airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready. Airlines also check this before issuing your boarding pass.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask where you are staying. Have a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host. If staying with friends, a simple address and phone number usually suffices.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Carry at least $1,000 USD in cash or have a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Lebanon is a cash-heavy economy — credit cards are not accepted everywhere, and ATMs may have withdrawal limits.Recommended
Visa on arrival only at Beirut Airport
The visa on arrival is only available at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport. If you enter Lebanon by land or sea, you must have a visa arranged in advance from a Lebanese embassy.
Cash only for visa fee
The visa fee must be paid in cash — USD or Lebanese pounds. Credit cards are not accepted. Bring small bills (no larger than $20) to avoid change issues.
eSIM activates on landing
If you buy an Airalo eSIM before your trip, it will activate automatically as soon as you connect to a local network in Lebanon. No need to queue at an airport kiosk.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Beirut Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Visa on Arrival' counters. These are located before the main immigration booths, near the baggage claim area.
2
Present documents at visa counter
Hand over your passport, return ticket (printed or on phone), and accommodation proof. The officer will issue a visa sticker — no payment is required at this point.
3
Pay the visa fee
After the sticker is issued, you'll be directed to a cashier window to pay the fee. As of 2026, the cost is 50,000 Lebanese pounds (about $3 USD) — bring small bills in USD or LBP. Credit cards are not accepted.
4
Proceed to immigration
With the visa sticker in your passport, join the main immigration queue. The officer will stamp you in. Keep your boarding pass handy — they may ask for it.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs (green channel for most). Exit into the arrivals hall. If you arranged an eSIM, it should activate automatically as soon as you connect to a local network.
