The bank counter at Queen Alia Airport does not accept credit cards. Bring 40 JOD (or USD/EUR equivalent) in cash. ATMs are available in the arrivals hall if you need to withdraw local currency.
Jordan Pass includes visa fee
If you buy a Jordan Pass (jordanpass.jo) before travel, the visa fee is waived for stays of 3+ nights. The pass costs 70-80 JOD and includes entry to most major sites. You still queue at immigration, but you show the pass instead of paying.

Hand over your passport and the fee in cash (40 JOD, or equivalent in USD/EUR). The bank teller gives you a receipt. Keep it.
