Book an appointment at the Belgian embassy in Cairo
Go to the Belgian embassy's online appointment system (or call them) to schedule a visa appointment. Slots can fill up weeks in advance, so book early. The embassy is at 18, El-Salam St., Garden City, Cairo.

Prepare your documents
Gather all required documents: completed application form, passport photos, passport copy, flight itinerary, hotel bookings, travel insurance, bank statements, and any sponsorship letters. Make photocopies of everything.

Attend the visa interview
Show up at the embassy on your appointment date with all documents. You'll submit your application, pay the fee, and possibly answer a few questions about your trip. They'll take your fingerprints if it's your first Schengen visa.

Standard processing takes 15 calendar days. In busy periods it can take up to 45 days. You'll get a call or email when your passport is ready for collection. Track online if available.

Collect your passport

Arrive in Belgium and go through immigration
