eVisa is mandatory — no exceptions

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Equatorial Guinea eVisa portal (if available) or use a trusted third-party service. Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (typically around $100–$150, depending on processing speed). Wait for approval — processing can take 3–7 business days.
2
Print your eVisa and pack supporting documents
Once approved, print at least two copies of the eVisa. Also print your flight itinerary, hotel booking, and insurance certificate. Keep digital backups on your phone.
3
Arrive at Malabo or Bata airport
At immigration, present your passport, eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation proof. The officer may ask a few questions about your trip. Answer honestly. You'll get an entry stamp — check the date is correct before leaving the counter.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There's usually a customs check — declare any expensive electronics or large amounts of cash. Then you're free to exit.
