Your passport must be valid for at least the length of your stay in Seychelles. No 6-month validity rule applies for Finnish passport holders. Airlines check this at check-in.Required
Seychelles Travel Authorization (eTA)
Apply online before departure
All visitors must obtain a Travel Authorization via the official Seychelles eTA portal at seychelles.govtas.com. Apply at least 24 hours before travel — approval is usually instant. The fee is approximately €10 and covers the full stay.Apply for eTARequired

Immigration officers routinely ask for a return or onward flight ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready. This applies even for visa-free stays up to 90 days.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Seychelles. Immigration may ask for it on arrival, especially if you're staying at a private residence.Recommended
Proof of sufficient funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have evidence of at least $150 USD per day for the duration of your stay. A bank statement or credit card usually suffices. Immigration rarely checks this for Finnish passport holders, but it's wise to have it ready.Recommended
No visa needed, but have your documents ready
Finnish passport holders get 90 days visa-free. Just make sure your passport is valid for 6 months from entry, and have your return ticket and accommodation details handy. Immigration is straightforward but they do check.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)
You'll go through immigration at the airport on Mahé. Join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport, return ticket (printed or on phone), and accommodation booking ready.
2
Get your passport stamped
The officer will stamp your passport with a visitor's permit valid for up to 90 days. No forms to fill in advance. The whole process takes 5–10 minutes.
3
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel, then walk through customs (green channel if nothing to declare). Taxis and car rental desks are just outside.
