What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to https://evisa.gouv.ga/ and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and accommodation info. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online — exact cost varies, but expect around 50,000–70,000 XAF (roughly $80–$120 USD). Processing takes 3–7 business days, so apply at least two weeks before your trip.
2
Receive and save your eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. The approval is tied to your passport number — no need to carry a physical sticker.
3
Arrive at Libreville International Airport (LBV)
When you land, head to immigration. Have your passport, eVisa approval, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will check your documents, stamp your passport, and wave you through. The whole process usually takes 10–15 minutes if you have everything ready.
4
Exit immigration and collect luggage
After the stamp, proceed to baggage claim. If you need a taxi, use the official taxi stand outside — negotiate the fare before getting in. There are ATMs in the arrivals hall if you need local currency (XAF).
