Visa required — apply well in advance
Ghanaian passport holders cannot enter Serbia without a pre-approved visa. Start the application process at least 3–4 weeks before your trip. The embassy in Accra processes applications, but delays can happen.

Apply for a Serbian visa
Contact the Serbian embassy in Accra (or the embassy covering your country of residence). Submit the completed application form, passport photos, passport copy, flight itinerary, hotel booking, bank statements, and travel insurance. Pay the visa fee (around €60–€80 depending on type). Processing takes 10–15 working days.

Collect your passport with visa
Once approved, collect your passport with the visa sticker. Check that the validity dates and your name are correct before leaving the embassy.

Arrive at a Serbian airport or land border
At Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport or any land border crossing, join the 'All Passports' queue. Have your passport, visa, return ticket, and accommodation proof ready. The officer will stamp you in.

Show documents if asked
Border officers may ask for proof of funds (cash or card) and your return ticket. Answer clearly and hand over the documents. The whole process usually takes 2–5 minutes.
