e-Visa Only — No Visa on Arrival
Hong Kong passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Bangladesh. You must apply for an e-Visa online before your trip. Do not attempt to travel without one.
Passport Validity Counts from Entry Date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Bangladesh, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the e-Visa.

Go to the official Bangladesh e-Visa website (evisa.gov.bd). Fill in your personal and travel details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing takes 3-5 business days. You'll receive the approved visa by email.

Print or save digital copies of your approved e-Visa, passport, return ticket, and hotel booking. Keep them in a folder or on your phone for easy access.

Arrive at Bangladesh Immigration
At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) in Dhaka or other entry points, proceed to the immigration counter. Hand over your passport and e-Visa. The officer will stamp your passport. The process usually takes 5-10 minutes.
