Ukraine entry requirements for Croatia passport holders
Croatian passport holders can enter Ukraine without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This visa-free regime has been in place since 2017 and applies to tourism, business, and family visits. No advance registration or eVisa is needed for short stays.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for entire stay in Ukraine | Your passport just needs to be valid for the duration of your stay. Ukraine does not enforce a 6-month validity rule for Croatian passport holders. Airlines may still check for at least 3 months validity — check with your carrier before departure. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Ukraine | Border officers at Boryspil and Lviv airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready. This applies even if you plan to exit overland into Poland or Romania. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A hotel confirmation or a letter from a Ukrainian host with their address and phone number works. Keep a copy on your phone. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Officers can ask for proof of sufficient funds. The official guideline is roughly 20,000 UAH (around €500) for a short stay. A bank statement or a credit card with a visible limit is usually enough. | Recommended |
