Indonesian passport holders can enter Tajikistan without a visa for stays up to 30 days. This policy has been in place since 2022 and covers tourism, business, and transit. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.

Register if staying more than 10 days
If your trip exceeds 10 days, you must register with the Migration Service within 10 days of arrival. Hotels handle this automatically, but if you're in private accommodation, you need to visit the local OVIR office. Unregistered stays can lead to fines and exit delays.

Prepare your documents before departure

Arrive at Dushanbe International Airport (or land border)
Most Indonesian travellers fly into Dushanbe International Airport (DYU). At the immigration hall, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport, boarding pass, and return ticket ready.

Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. Answer questions clearly (purpose of visit, length of stay). They'll stamp your passport — check the stamp says the correct entry date and allowed stay (30 days).

Collect luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. Customs is usually green channel for most tourists. If you have nothing to declare, walk through. Keep your passport handy — there may be a random check.
