Uzbekistan entry requirements for Ireland passport holders
Irish passport holders can enter Uzbekistan without a visa for stays up to 30 days. This visa-free arrangement has been in place since 2020 and applies to tourism, business, and transit. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your Irish passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Uzbekistan. No minimum validity period beyond your stay is required by Uzbek law, but airlines sometimes ask for 6 months — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Uzbekistan | Immigration officers at Tashkent International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone — they rarely accept verbal promises. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Border officers occasionally ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself during the trip | Have access to at least $100 USD per day of your stay — either in cash, a bank statement, or a credit card. Officers rarely check this for Irish passport holders, but it's a legal requirement. | Recommended |
