Iraqi passport holders need a visa to enter Ukraine in 2026. You must apply for an e-visa online before you travel — there is no visa-on-arrival option at the border.

No visa on arrival
Do not show up at the airport without an approved e-visa. There is no visa-on-arrival option for Iraqi passport holders. You will be refused entry and sent back.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Ukraine, not from the day you apply for the visa. If your passport expires in 5 months, renew it first.

Apply for the e-visa online
Go to the official Ukraine e-visa website (evisa.gov.ua/en). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee (around $20–$30 depending on processing speed). Submit and wait 3–5 business days for approval.

Prepare your documents before departure
Print or save on your phone: the e-visa approval email, your return ticket, your first night's hotel booking, and your travel insurance policy. Keep them in a folder you can access quickly.

Arrive at the airport in Ukraine
At passport control, hand over your passport and the printed e-visa (or show the PDF on your phone). The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly and calmly. The process usually takes 2–5 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. Exit into the arrivals hall.
