Kosovo entry requirements for Italy passport holders
Italian passport holders can enter Kosovo without a visa for stays up to 90 days. This policy has been in place since 2010 and remains unchanged for 2026. No registration or pre-approval is needed — just show up with a valid passport.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your Italian passport must be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Kosovo authorities, but airlines may enforce a 3-month rule — check with your carrier. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Kosovo | Immigration officers at Pristina International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing you leave within the 90-day visa-free period. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Border officers may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a letter from a host with their address and contact number covers this. I've been asked for it once in five entries. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Kosovo doesn't publish a minimum amount, but having around €50–100 per day in cash or a card statement avoids delays. I've never been asked, but a friend was turned away for having only €20. | Recommended |
