Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory

eVisa is the only option
There is no visa on arrival for Jordanian passport holders. Apply online at evisa.gouv.bj/en at least a week before your trip. The approval comes by email — print it or save the PDF on your phone.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gouv.bj/en. Fill in your details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (30,000 XOF, about $50 USD) by credit card. You'll get a confirmation email within a few days.

Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 2–5 business days. Check your spam folder. Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print it or save it on your phone — you'll show it at immigration.

Arrive at Cotonou Airport (COO)
At the airport, go to the immigration desk. Hand over your passport and the eVisa approval. They'll stamp you in. The whole process takes about 10 minutes if you have everything ready.

Exit Benin
When you leave, you don't need to show the eVisa again. Just your passport and boarding pass. If you overstay, you'll pay a fine at the airport before departure.
