eVisa is not for all ports of entry
You can only enter India with an eVisa at 30 designated airports and 5 seaports. You cannot enter by land from Nepal, Bangladesh, or Pakistan with an eVisa. If you plan to cross by land, you need a regular visa from the Indian embassy.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Indian eVisa website (indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a recent passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $25–$100 depending on duration and nationality). Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.

Receive your eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. Check all details match your passport exactly. Print a copy or save the PDF on your phone. The eVisa is valid for entry within 120 days from the date of approval.

Arrive at an Indian airport
The eVisa is accepted at 30 designated airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Goa. When you land, follow the 'e-Visa' or 'Foreigner' signs. Have your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket ready.

Go through immigration
