What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Botswana eVisa portal (https://evisa.gov.bw). Fill in your details, upload your passport photo and passport scan, and pay the fee (around $30–$50 USD). Processing usually takes 2–5 business days.
2
Print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive an email with the eVisa document. Print a copy and save a digital version on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration.
3
Arrive at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE)
Most flights arrive in Gaborone. Follow signs to 'Immigration' — there's a dedicated queue for eVisa holders. Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in.
4
