Complete IMUGA online
Before you fly, go to imuga.immigration.gov.mv and fill out the free IMUGA arrival declaration. You can do this up to 96 hours before landing. Save the confirmation QR code on your phone.

Arrive at Velana International Airport (MLE)
After landing in Malé, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Visa on Arrival'. Join the queue for foreign passport holders. Have your passport, boarding pass, return ticket, and accommodation booking ready.

Get your visa stamped
Hand over your passport and supporting documents. The officer will stamp a free 30-day tourist visa. No fee, no photo needed. The whole process usually takes 5–10 minutes.

Collect luggage and exit
After the visa stamp, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. Show your IMUGA QR code if asked. You're now free to enter the Maldives.
