Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to the official Turkmenistan e-Visa portal and complete the application. You'll need to upload a passport-style photo, enter your personal details, and pay the fee by credit card. Apply at least 7–10 days before your trip to allow for processing.

Receive and print your approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with a PDF attachment. Print two copies — one for your carry-on and one for your checked luggage. Check that your name and passport number match exactly.

Check in for your flight
At the airport in South Korea, the check-in agent will ask to see your visa approval. Have your printed copy ready. Without it, they may deny boarding.

Go through immigration in Turkmenistan
On arrival at Ashgabat International Airport or another port of entry, join the foreign passport queue. Hand over your passport and the printed e-Visa approval. The officer will stamp your passport and may ask for your hotel address.

Keep your departure card safe
You may be given a small departure card or entry slip. Keep it with your passport — you'll need to hand it back when you leave the country.
