Arrive at the visa-on-arrival counter
After landing at Julius Nyerere International Airport (Dar es Salaam), Kilimanjaro International Airport, or any land border, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Immigration'. Join the queue — it can take 15–45 minutes depending on flight volume.

Present your documents and pay the fee
Hand over your passport, completed arrival card (given on the plane), and passport photo if you have one. Tell the officer you want a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. Pay the fee in USD cash. They'll process and hand back your passport with the visa sticker.

Proceed to passport control
Take your passport with the visa sticker to the main immigration desk. The officer will stamp you in. Keep the arrival card stub — you'll need it when leaving.
