RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Nigeria eVisa
Apply for your Nigeria eVisa at the Nigeria Immigration Service portal before you fly. The eVisa is a single-entry permit, and you must print the approval letter to show at the Lagos or Abuja airport immigration counter. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, so apply at least a week ahead.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay
Your Lebanese passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Nigeria. Airlines at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport will check this before boarding — no exceptions.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Nigeria
Immigration officers at Murtala Muhammed International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone — they may not accept verbal explanations.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your Nigerian host. Immigration may ask for it during the interview at the eVisa clearance desk — having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Bring a recent bank statement showing at least $500 USD or the equivalent in Naira. Immigration officers occasionally ask to see proof you can cover your stay — especially if you don't have a return ticket.Recommended
eVisa only valid at specific airports
Your eVisa is only valid for entry at Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt airports. If you arrive at any other airport or a land border, you will be denied entry.
Yellow fever vaccine required
Nigeria requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers. Carry your yellow card — immigration may ask to see it alongside your passport and eVisa.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the Nigeria Immigration Service portal (https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/). Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee (around $160–$200 depending on processing time). Processing takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval letter. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. The letter includes a barcode that immigration will scan.
3
Arrive at a Nigerian airport
You must enter through one of the designated eVisa entry points: Lagos (LOS), Abuja (ABV), or Port Harcourt (PHC). At immigration, present your passport, eVisa approval letter, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. Have your accommodation address handy in case they ask.
