Go to https://www.evisa.mr/ and fill out the application form. Upload your passport scan and photo, pay the fee, and submit. Processing typically takes 2–5 business days, so apply at least a week before your flight.

Receive your e-visa by email
Once approved, you will get a PDF e-visa. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. Check that your name, passport number, and dates are correct — any error means you will need to reapply.

Arrive at the airport in Mauritania
At Nouakchott International Airport (or Nouadhibou), go to the immigration desk. Present your passport and e-visa. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through. Have your return ticket and accommodation details ready in case they ask.

Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim and then customs. There is usually a quick baggage scan. You are free to enter Mauritania.
