eVisa required — no visa on arrival
Libyan passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Hong Kong. You must have your eVisa approved and printed before you fly. Airlines will check this at check-in.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Hong Kong, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Hong Kong Immigration Department's eVisa portal. Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel plans. Upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (typically around HKD 230) by credit card. Processing takes 3–5 working days, sometimes longer.

Receive and save your eVisa
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval as a PDF. Print a paper copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at airline check-in and to immigration officers in Hong Kong.

Before you leave, gather: passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and travel insurance details. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Visitors' or 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport, eVisa, and boarding pass ready. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, how long you're staying, and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
