Moroccan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Oman. The process is entirely online — you apply before you travel, and approval usually takes a few business days. As of 2026, this is the only way to get a visa for tourism or short visits.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for an Oman eVisa at the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal. Processing takes 3–5 business days for most nationalities. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Muscat Airport will stamp the visa on arrival.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Oman. Airlines at Casablanca and Marrakech check this before boarding — they will deny you if it expires sooner.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Muscat International Airport asks for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone — they check this at the counter.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter from your Omani host. Immigration officers occasionally ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Have a recent bank statement or at least 500 OMR (~$1,300 USD) in cash or card available. Officers rarely ask, but it helps if you look under-prepared.Recommended
Apply early — don't wait until the last minute
eVisa processing can take up to 5 business days. If you apply too close to your departure, you risk not getting approval in time. Apply at least a week before your flight.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa PDF, hotel booking, and return ticket on your phone. Screenshots work fine. You may be asked to show them at check-in and immigration.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.rop.gov.om and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, a digital photo, and your first night's accommodation address. Pay the fee (around 20 OMR for a tourist eVisa) with a credit card. Processing takes 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print a copy and save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Oman.
3
Arrive at Muscat International Airport
At immigration, present your passport and the eVisa (printed or on your phone). The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. The process is usually quick — 5–10 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim. Customs is straightforward for most tourists. If you have an eSIM, you'll have data immediately.
