Visa required — no exceptions
Myanmar passport holders cannot enter the UK without a visa. There is no visa waiver, e-visa, or visa on arrival. Apply well in advance — processing can take over a month.

You must attend in person at a UK Visa Application Centre to give fingerprints and a photo. The nearest centre for Myanmar residents is in Yangon. If you're in Thailand, you can use the Bangkok centre.

Book and attend a biometric appointment
After submitting, book an appointment at a UK Visa Application Centre. For Myanmar residents, the nearest centres are in Yangon or Bangkok. Bring your passport, appointment confirmation, and any requested documents. They'll take your photo and fingerprints.

Wait for visa processing
Standard processing takes 3–6 weeks. You can pay extra for priority (5 working days, ~£250) or super priority (24 hours, ~£800). Track your application online.

Collect your passport with visa vignette
Once approved, your passport will be returned with a visa sticker. Check the dates and details are correct. The vignette is usually valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

Arrive in the UK and go through immigration
At the UK border (e.g., Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester), join the 'All Other Passports' queue. Have your passport with visa, return ticket, and accommodation booking ready. The officer may ask about your trip purpose and funds. Answer honestly and calmly.
