eVisa required before travel
You cannot get a visa on arrival at the airport. Apply online at evisa.mn at least a week before your flight.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you land in Mongolia, not from your departure date. Double-check before you apply.
What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa
Go to evisa.mn and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and accommodation info. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.

Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get the eVisa by email. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. You'll show it at immigration in Ulaanbaatar (Chinggis Khaan International Airport).

Arrive in Mongolia
At the airport, go to the immigration counter. Hand over your passport, eVisa, and return ticket if asked. They'll stamp you in. The whole process takes about 10–15 minutes if you have everything ready.
