eVisa is the only option
Mongolian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Azerbaijan. You must apply and receive approval before you travel. The official portal is evisa.gov.az — avoid third-party sites that charge extra.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Azerbaijan. Airlines check this at check-in, and border officers will deny entry if it's shorter. No exceptions.

Apply for your eVisa online
Go to evisa.gov.az, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Standard processing takes 3 working days; urgent (3 hours) costs about $50 extra.

Receive and print your eVisa
Check your email (and spam folder) for the approved eVisa. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at the border.

Arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD)
After landing in Baku, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' or 'eVisa' lanes. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket if asked. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 1-2 minutes.

Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, pick up your bags from the carousel and walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel unless you have goods to declare. Taxis and metro are just outside.
