What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Burkina Faso eVisa website (visaburkina.bf). Fill in your personal details, passport info, travel dates, and upload a passport-style photo. Pay the fee with a credit card. Processing usually takes 3-5 business days, but can be longer. Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at immigration when you arrive in Ouagadougou (OUA) or Bobo-Dioulasso (BOY).
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Before heading to the airport, double-check: passport valid 6+ months, eVisa printout, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance if you have it. Keep them all in your carry-on.
4
Arrive in Burkina Faso and go through immigration
At the airport, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Arrivals'. Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
