Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Gabon eVisa
Apply for a Gabon eVisa at evisa.gouv.ga before you travel. The online form takes about 15 minutes — upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, and you get the approved eVisa as a PDF by email. Print two copies: one for the airline check-in counter and one for immigration at Libreville Airport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your Mongolian passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Gabon. Immigration at Libreville checks this strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. Airlines also enforce this rule before issuing a boarding pass.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Gabon
Immigration officers at Libreville routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot of your booking ready. If you are flying out to a neighboring country, a bus or ferry ticket may also be accepted.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Gabon. Immigration may ask for it at the counter, especially if you are arriving without a pre-booked hotel. A simple booking confirmation email works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have a bank statement or a credit card showing available funds. Gabon does not publish a fixed minimum amount, but around 200,000 CFA francs (roughly $330 USD) per week of stay is a safe benchmark. Immigration rarely asks, but it is better to have it ready.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory
Gabon requires a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate for all travellers. Without it, you may be denied entry or quarantined. Get the shot at least 10 days before departure.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa, passport, and travel insurance as PDFs on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose your passport, having digital copies makes replacement much faster.
