What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa
Go to evisa.kdmid.ru and fill out the application. You'll need a digital photo and your passport details. Pay the fee (around $50 USD equivalent) and submit. Approval usually comes within 4 days.

Prepare your documents
Print or save on your phone: the eVisa approval email, your return ticket, and your first night's accommodation confirmation. Keep your passport handy.

Arrive at the airport
At passport control, hand over your passport and the eVisa printout (or show the email on your phone). The officer will check your documents and stamp you in. Expect a short queue.

Exit Russia
Before your 16 days are up, leave via any border checkpoint. No extension is possible. Show your passport and boarding pass at departure.
