Arrive at Kigali International Airport (or land border)
Most travellers fly into Kigali International Airport (KGL). At the airport, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Passport Control'. Land borders (e.g., from Uganda, Tanzania, DRC, Burundi) have similar procedures.

Present documents at immigration counter
Hand over your passport and any requested documents (return ticket, accommodation). The officer will check your passport validity, take a photo, and stamp you in. No visa fee is charged. The process usually takes 2–5 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim (if applicable), then customs. You're free to enter Rwanda. Your 30-day stay starts from the date of entry.
