Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Hong Kong Immigration Department's eVisa portal (search 'HK eVisa'). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel plans. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around HKD 230, about USD 30) by credit card. Submit and wait for the approval email — typically 2–5 business days.

Print your eVisa approval letter
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF attachment. Print it in colour on A4 paper. Keep it with your passport — you'll need to show it at immigration on arrival.

Prepare your documents for departure
Before you leave Nigeria, double-check: passport validity (6+ months from entry date), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket, and first night accommodation confirmation. Pack a printed copy of each in your carry-on.

Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Foreign Passports' (not e-Channel). Have your passport, printed eVisa, and boarding pass ready. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking — show them calmly. They'll stamp your passport and let you through. The whole process usually takes 10–20 minutes.
