Malaysia entry requirements for Netherlands passport holders
Dutch passport holders can enter Malaysia without a visa for tourism or business visits. Stays up to 90 days per entry are allowed, and this policy is confirmed for 2026.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay | Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity remaining from your entry date. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Malaysia | Immigration officers routinely ask for a return or onward ticket within 90 days. Have a printed or digital copy ready — budget airlines sometimes check this at check-in too. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed or digital hotel confirmation for your first few nights. Immigration rarely asks, but having it ready avoids delays if they do. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Sufficient cash or bank statement | Officers may ask to see proof you can support yourself — a bank statement showing a few thousand ringgit or a credit card usually satisfies them. No fixed minimum is published. | Recommended |
