No visa on arrival for Norwegians
Despite some outdated online sources, Norwegian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Pakistan. You must have an approved e-visa or embassy visa before you board your flight.

Apply for your visa online
Go to visa.nadra.gov.pk, create an account, fill in the application form, upload your passport photo and passport scan, and pay the fee. Processing takes 3–7 business days for a tourist visa.

Print your visa approval
Once approved, you'll receive an e-visa PDF. Print at least one copy and save a digital version on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.

Prepare your documents for arrival
At Islamabad or Karachi airport, join the 'Foreigners' queue. Have your passport, visa printout, return ticket, and hotel booking ready. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you'll stay.

Get a local SIM or eSIM
After clearing immigration, you can buy a SIM at the airport (e.g., Jazz or Zong) with your passport. Alternatively, install an Airalo eSIM before you land — it activates immediately.
